A multi award-winning singer/songwriter, Shellie uses her voice to entertain and share messages.
Shellie has worked with more than 70 remote communities throughout her career, partnering with the likes of Fred Hollows Foundation, AMRRIC, AMSANT and the Jimmy Little Foundation.
She is a feature artist in Black Arm Band, performing around Australia and overseas singing in the languages of her families: Yanyuwa and Wardaman.
The album she created with her aunties and grandmothers from Borroloola, Ngambala Wiji li-Wunungu, was an ARIA nominee and has taken a language which has fewer than 22 fluent speakers to the world.
She co-wrote the music for the internationally acclaimed Prison Songs musical documentary with Casey Bennetto (Paul Keating the Musical) and spearheaded the development of this into a stage production for Darwin Festival 2015 which played to sold out audiences.
